Florida Psychoanalytic Society
The Florida Psychoanalytic Society promotes collegiality among psychoanalysts and psychotherapists and provides continuing education for the mental health clinicians and the community through the following:
- Scientific Meetings open to all who wish to learn more about psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
- A two year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Course (PPC) for mental health professionals who wish to deepen their understanding of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
- Active Membership is open to psychoanalysts who have graduated from the Florida Psychoanalytic Institute or another Institute of accredited either by the American Psychoanalytic Association or the International Psychoanalytical Association. - Adjunct Membership is open to all individuals who have professional or scientific interest in psychoanalytic principles. Adjunct members who are clinicians are required to be licensed in the state of Florida and carry malpractice insurance. Adjunct Members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors of the Florida Psychoanalytic Society, to serve on committees of the Society and to teach in both the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Course and the Mini Courses. Privileges of membership include use of the Library, listing on www.floridapsychoanalytic.org and reduced fees for Scientific Meetings.
